Seyma Dag

Seyma is a director and editor based between Glasgow and London, with short films that have screened at festivals including Glasgow Short, Norwich, Bolton, Sunderland, In the Palace and NFFTY.

She began her filmmaking journey at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she directed MOVING, a short that was nominated for the Young Filmmakers Prize at Glasgow Short Film Festival.

Building on that momentum, she went on to make NEXT IN LINE, commissioned by Screen Scotland through the GMAC Little Pictures scheme, which went on to win Best Film at Raindance Open Shorts.

In addition to directing, Seyma works closely with other filmmakers as an editor, most recently cutting We Are Nature, a Screen Scotland–funded documentary.

She is currently working as an Assistant Editor on 28 Years Later: Bone Temple, while continuing to develop her own projects, centred on themes of womanhood and the immigrant experience.
